Associated Press called Michigan for Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden during the dinner hour this evening, according to an mLive post by Malachi Barrett titled “Joe Biden wins Michigan, flipping state in narrow victory over Trump.”

By the numbers: “The former vice president held 2,688,604 Michigan votes while Trump held 2,618,093 votes.

Trump won Michigan by only 10,704 votes in 2016. Four years later, Biden narrowly won by 70,511 votes ….

Michigan experienced record turnout statewide, and Trump improved his performance from 2016 by gathering 337,500 more votes in Michigan ….

Overall, there were 5.38 million votes cast in the presidential election ….
