The number of “confirmed deaths” associated with COVID-19 “passed the sober milestone of 200,000” today. Made headlines with American Medical Association and NPR, among other mainstream media outlets.

CNN said “What happened today seemed impossible to many Americans six months ago.” That would have been March 22, 2020.

While technically accurate, exactly seven days after that, on Sunday March 29, CNN was told by Dr Anthony Fauci that 200,000 deaths from COVID-19 were very possible.

The next day, Dr Deborah Birx said that “in a flu model, the worst case scenario is between 1.6 million and 2.2 million deaths. That’s a projection if you do nothing ….

If we do things well — almost perfectly — we could get in a range of a hundred thousand, to two hundred thousand fatalities ….

The ‘best case scenario’ would be a hundred percent of Americans doing precisely what is required ….
