A criminal referral via United States Department of Justice will be made against Dr Anthony Fauci for “lying” to Congress “about whether or not he funded gain-of-function research,” according to Senator Rand Paul. Dr Fauci is currently serving as National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

This followed testimony before sitting Senators yesterday where Senator Paul opened his questioning of Dr Fauci by stating that “federal law makes lying to Congress a felony punishable by up to five years in prison ….” As reported by Breitbart News this morning, at issue is a “connection to green-lighting research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology” by Dr Fauci.

“‘We have scientists that were lined up by the dozens to say that the research he was funding was gain-of-function. He’s doing this because he has a self-interest to cover his tracks and to cover his connection to Wuhan lab …” Senator Paul said during an interview with Sean Hannity last night on Fox News.
