Rather than continuing to argue what should not drive public school curriculum for studies of American history, our own Hillsdale College has developed “The Hillsdale 1776 Curriculum.” Materials are currently being offered free of charge (via Access Gateway registration).

Offering was overviewed this morning by Dr Matthew Spalding, Former Executive Director, The President’s Advisory 1776 Commission, Dean of Hillsdale Van Andel Graduate School of Government, during 8:00 am hour of The Alex Marlow Show on Breitbart News radio network. Among detailed answers in response to a wide range of questions, Dr Spalding emphasized the importance of individuals taking the time to read source materials for themselves — as opposed to relying upon media characterizations.
