Ferries to Mackinac Island began running again this morning for the season.

mLive has recommended that patrons plan ahead and purchase their tickets online.

“Beginning today, Star Line — which runs the island’s only winter ferry service — switches to its spring schedule, running its Hydro-Jet boats to the island from both its St. Ignace and Mackinaw City ports ….

Shepler’s ferry service begins its 2021 season today with boats leaving its St. Ignace dock. On April 26, ferries also will be traveling from its Mackinaw City dock.
