New information from “the British Heart Foundation and a study published in the British Medical Journal found statins to reduce death in hospitalized patients by 43%, if given early in their hospitalization course,” Dr Daliah Wachs MD noted yesterday.

She went on to explain that “Study authors believe statins might inhibit the virus from causing inflammation, and the dangerous cytokine storm. They might also [act] by inhibiting the virus from binding to the host cell ….”
