According to the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), “Back pain remains one of the most prevalent and disabling conditions worldwide. It is one of the most common reasons that patients visit their doctors, and one of the most common conditions for which doctors prescribe opioid pain medications.” [1]

Saline is now even better equipped to help people with this, with the formal ribbon-cutting at Steadfast Chiropractic yesterday evening in The Oaks Plaza on East Michigan Avenue. The timing couldn’t have been better. October is National Chiropractic Health Month, and the ACA is taking this opportunity in 2017 to emphasize prevention. [2]

Steadfast practice owners Kelsey and Dr Andrew Schneider leveraged the draw to their October 12 ribbon-cutting as an opportunity to educate visitors on the practice and benefits of chiropractic services. To help with this, they brought in fellow practitioners from far and wide to work the evening as professional guides.

Dr Tim Zittle of Flourish Chiropractic came in for this event from Dublin Ohio. During the tours he conducted on Thursday evening, Dr Zittle noted that Steadfast Chiropractic specializes in pediatrics and maternal care. He brought particular attention to the special “Torque Release Technique” that Dr Schneider uses to achieve therapeutic results. “It doesn’t involve the so-called ‘twisting or cracking’ that too many of us associate with chiropractic care,” Dr Zittle said. [3]

More generally, chiropractic adjustments are completely drug-free. According to online resources by Dr Josh Axe, this includes helping natural improvement with the following examples. [4]

  • Back pain
  • Headaches
  • Bowel regularity
  • Improved mental clarity
  • Ear infections
  • Neck pain
  • Arthritis and joint pain
  • Scoliosis
  • Asthma
  • Blood pressure
  • Healthy pregnancy
  • Organ function
  • Surgery prevention

Steadfast Chiropractic will initially serve clients each weekday, then move to a planned Monday through Thursday schedule. Kelsey Schneider reported last evening that their first patient is booked for October 16 at 9:00am, but added that the 8:00am slot was still available.

Understandably, availability is subject to change after the publication of this article.
